This iOS update comes after a major renovation to Google’s other navigation app – Waze. Earlier Traffic alerts have played the big part in Waze’s success and the Google acquired the mapping app in 2013 for $1.1 billion.
You know what Waze is an increasingly popular crowd-sourced mapping map where users reported about the real-time traffic issues and police speed traps as they go for other users to see.
But now, instead of user generated traffic alerts, Google Maps will use data form other Google Maps users and from traffic services to make sure that information is accurate.
